China Cabinets

Not long after the last party pie was gone,

and the last sandwich square had gone stale,

one by one, mother of pearl, crystal and silver,

glassware, china,

a plastic peeing boy, a corkscrew, silver trophies,

Conch shells, secateurs, and a picture of dogs playing poker,

were dispersed amongst the family

till all that was left was an ad for a china cabinet on ebay

and a bunch of stuff in china cabinets all over town.
