About this site

Welcome to my website.

That's me, second from the right, on a cargo line at the landing strip in Goroka, New Guinea, in 1963.

A little bit later, on reading The Nasturtiums who grew too big for their boots in second grade, I thought one day I might write stories and poems of my own. Here. at last, some 60 years later, are some of the bite sized chunks I've written.

One thing I have learned in the meantime is that every story, every poem, is a conversation between the text and the reader.

So please dip into the tidbits on this site and feel free to comment on them.

Happy reading.

What's new

19 October 2026

Hello all, this week I posted a new piece of flash fiction, Do you want two?  It's inspired by the walk from the Mexican Restaurant to the Gelati Shop at Lennox Head.

What I'm reading:  Not For Heroics, by B.R. Dionysius, just released from Liquid Amber Press. His 10th collection of poems.

What I'm watching: 70 Up, on SBS on demand. Simply amazing.

What I'm listening to: The Bootleg Series Vol 5: Bob Dylan Live 1975, The Rolling Thunder Revue. The most energetic live Dylan recording I have heard.
